Olbermann, whose "Countdown With Keith Olbermann" airs weeknights at 8, apparently has precious little respect for Cosby, whose "Rita Cosby: Live & Direct" airs at 10 p.m.

"Rita's nice," Olbermann wrote to a fan from his MSNBC E-mail account, "but dumber than a suitcase of rocks." Yesterday Cosby retorted: "Keith got it wrong. I'm not that nice."

In case there was any doubt that Rita wasn't "dumber than a suitcase of rocks," Rita dispels it rather quickly.

I still don't get how she has a show... on any network. She's not attractive, so it's not like she's just another empty-headed sexy blond; she's not intelligent, so there's no reason to care what her opinion is; her shows, while conservative in the "another missing white woman" sense, aren't overtly ideological, so she wouldn't have an audience of Freepers like mAnn or noted racist Malkin; and her voice is more annoying than Gilbert Gottfried's! How the hell does she have a show?

She's like Miss Piggy without the charm, talent, and sex appeal.

I think the story about him e-mailing it to a "fan" is sheer bullshit concocted by Faux News and being used with the help of his other enemies (Lloyd Grove, Matt Drudge) to try to get him kicked off MSNBC.

I say "Good luck." Badmouthing everyone else on MSNBC has never caused Don Imus any problems...has it?

...her voice is completely grating. There is nothing that makes me reach for the remote faster, unless perhaps it's * doing a "live" (read: anal-retentively rehearsed) speech or a local window company's commercial with an infuriatingly catchy jingle that stays in my head all day.

Long story short, I agree with you in that I have no idea who she actually appeals to. (Funny - I typo'd "appalls to" but fixed it. Freudian?)
