San Jose cop arrested on suspicion of felony child exploitation

SAN JOSE -- A veteran San Jose police officer has been arrested on suspicion of felony child exploitation after police recovered sexually explicit photographs of a 16-year-old girl on his home computer, authorities said.

Kenneth Earl Williams Sr., 49, was arrested at his San Jose home on Thursday, said Santa Cruz County District Attorney Bob Lee.

Lee said he expected Williams to be charged today on four counts of felony child exploitation and one felony count of destroying evidence, charges that could bring a sentence of probation or up to five years in prison.

San Jose police officials placed Williams on routine administrative leave several weeks ago after learning that he was being investigated by Scotts Valley police, San Jose police Sgt. Nick Muyo said.

Muyo said that Williams marked 20 years on the force in August and most recently was assigned to the patrol division.

1. Oh, that's nothing ...

A cop in OKC was recently (last week) discovered to have been having an open sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl. He even drove her to school, every day, in his police car, and picked her up afterwards and boinked her.

His defense was, and I quote, "I thought she was 16."

Her being 16 would make it OK, and this coming a police officer?

Guy seemed to have NO CLUE that him saying that just made him look like more of a slime. Said to a reporter, in fact ... made a point of saying it.

The reason is that 16 is the age of consent in OK, and he knows this, but he's technically old enough to be her grandfather.

The whole taking her to school and picking her up thing is what really just floored me. He made no secret of their relationship. It just took awhile for an adult to notice this relationship between the cop and the girl didn't seem quite natural. Not sure where her parents are in all this.

Probation? Four counts of FELONY child exploitation could result in "probation?"

Gee. And we wonder why this sick freaks commit these crimes? Even when they are caught and prosecuted, the punishment is a walk in the park.

I love a country where smoking a joint will get you more prison time that sexually exploiting minors.

We are passing legislation here to make it impossible for a police-officer,like this pervert, to work in the profession again.
