I joined their mailing list months back just to keep an eye on them, just to see what acts of desperation they are up to as we get closer to the election.

This is their latest - more proof that the repukes need someone to do their thinking for them.

http://www.gop.com/GetActive/WriteNewspapers.aspx

For those of you that don't have the stomach to go there - it's letters already written to the editor all you have to do is sign and send.

I think I will be paying closer attention to the letters to the editor in my paper to see if any of those get printed :puke:

2. I remember once they had a "Letter to the Editor Generator" on their site.
It had a bunch of talking points that you could drag-n-drop into a letter and send. Pretty hilarious shit.

3. LTTE editors get these brainless excrescences every day . . .

(And not just from wingers, sad to say). They're trained to recognize and dump 'em.

Unless, of course, the boss says, "Hey Jones, I like this letter. Put it in tomorrow's paper (if you know what's good for you)."

6. Fun! Handy! Weren't they dears to give us access to it!
Here are my letters:

Victory Plan in Iraq

President Bush has a clear plan for victory in Iraq -- clear as mud. The President is unwilling to acknowledge that torturing detainees and allowing the massacres of innocent civilians (including children) by US forces only fans the flames of terrorism. Withdrawing from Iraq, as some Democrats in Washington propose, would save American lives and send a heartening signal to Iraqis that we do not plan to occupy their country indefinitely as they fear. President Bush is offering a clear strategy to defeat, not a realistic fix.

Social Security

Fix Social Security now once and for all: cancel the war, the bogus government contracts and the unjustified raise the House of Representatives just gave itself and divert the money back to the Social Security trust fund to repay the IOUs. Then make it illegal for the government to use the trust fund -- our FICA taxes -- for anything but what it was meant for, ever again. Voila, fixed!

Safety and Security

Protect the USA: commit President Bush to The Hague today. He started a war in Iraq, a country that had nothing to do with 9-11 or al Qaeda, while neglecting border and port security at home. On the contrary, the president allowed several of our ports to be sold to a company owned by the UAE government and based in Dubai, the place where lax banking standards allowed untold sums of cash to be funneled to the very terrorists who attacked us on 9-11. (After much controversy the port deal was put on hold, but then quietly sealed behind America's back.) He also dismantled and underfunds FEMA. Are these the actions of a caring person?

Jobs and Economy

Build a better tomorrow for our children and grandchildren: raise the minimum wage, stop the unregulated outsourcing of American jobs, cut defense spending, end the tax breaks that put millions of dollars back in the hands of the wealthy few, invest earnestly in alternative fuel sources like solar, geothermal and wind power, just say No to Republican fiscal irresponsibility, give America a national healthcare plan, reject No Child Left Behind, reinstate student loans, and impeach President Bush...Not necessarily in that order.

my GOP talking points letter

President Bush has a clear plan for victory in Iraq that begins photo ops and leaving it for someone else to clean up. We are making tremendous progress toward the objective of making the US the most hated in the world. Every day Iraqis are telling america to get the fuck out and to leave them alone. Withdrawing from Iraq, as some Democrats in Washington propose, would send a the signal that we don't want to lose one more American life. President Bush is offering no strategy to win in Iraq

I sure that newspapers are watching for this crap
