Rove is not the only potential criminal case they are considering related to the investigation.

2. This is what's called a "regular" grand jury

They consider several matters and can be used by any US Attorney in the district. If one of the news organizations would have someone standing outside the courthouse on Wednesdays and Fridays, we might discover whether or not the CIA leak case is under discussion. Unfortunately, it's more fun for them to print erroneous information.

3. The term of a Grand Jury is 18 months

I was on a Federal Grand Jury a long time ago and they
have a huge docket. If necessary, they can expand the
term 6 more months, but they try not to do that.
