6. the question was that the polls show the repukes having problems
in the midterms. What he said is they said the same thing about 2004, and we showed them

2. and he said don't believe the polls
Edited on Wed Jun-14-06 09:17 AM by DesertRat
He says he remembers people saying he wouldn't win in 2004. "I can't remember, I was probably down double digits at some point."

...because they can get on our TV screens everyday." Now going off on a diatribe about why we need to stay in Iraq. Ooo, now his voice is getting more shrill, he's getting ticked with the questions about the war. He's ready for a "I am a decider" moment.

15. Well, given the Republican ownership of the voting machines
And their ability to carry out voting scandals, he's probably correct. I hate to be a bummer, but despite all of this talk about a Democratic landslide in November, we are still dogged by the same problems that we had 2, 4, and 6 years ago. Rigged voting machines, republican operatives disenfranchising Democratic voting populations, and a seeming unwillingness to expose this corruption to the country.

Until there are fair, clean elections, Democrats are going to continue to lose. And the more we lose, the more these deciets become entrenched in our society, and the less likely they'll be exposed to the light of day.

16. Most. Partisan. President. Ever
In my 58 years of observing Presidencies, I have never seen anything like this one. The Office of the Presidency which Bush claims to revere so much, should not be partisan. Would someone be so kind as to tell that idiot that he is supposed to be President of all the people, not just rich Republicans.

As usual, the Press did not call him on it. I can not imagine any other President slamming the other party in a new conference like Bush did--going on and on about how Democrats will raise taxes if they are in power.
