E&P: Art Buchwald, Continuing Comeback, Confronts Coulter
Editor & Publisher: Buchwald, Continuing Comeback, Confronts Coulter

Published: June 13, 2006

NEW YORK -- Famed humorist Art Buchwald, who appeared on the verge of death earlier this spring, only to emerge from a hospice still full of fight, took on the ultimate challenge in today's Washington Post column: Ann Coulter. Feeling up to it, he labled her a "born-again hater."

Coulter has been much in the news in the past week, of course, pushing a new book and claiming that, for one thing, certain 9/11 widows were fully "enjoying" the deaths of their husbands.

Buchwald kicked off the column by claiming that a broomstick in his closet was missing, and someone told him that Ann Coulter was flying around on it....In that "conversation," Buchwald suggested that he doesn't "even like her hair...It gets tangled up in her broomstick."

He also recalled her statement that her "only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times building" and announced that, for sure, he would not be buying her new book.

1. Oh no! Ann won't be able to respond to somebody who's been
to hospice and back, either. It's so unfair! What will she do? Maybe this will be the one that finally explodes her head.

2. She can respond to me...
I didn't lose a relative in a violent crime, I'm not sick, my kids aren't sick and my hubby's got a job.

Oh, wait. She can't. I'm a vet. Spiddle stick!

4. Like everyone on the planet, Coulter will someday be dead.
I wonder how many people they'll have to pay to show up at her funeral to generate the illusion that anyone gave a shit about her existence.

14. Don't kid yourself.
Nothing is sacred to that monster. She'd go after him with all the vitriol in her twisted little soul.

Apologies to any monsters who may have been offended by the comparison.

12. Thanks for the link..
"Where do you think Ann Coulter buys all her broomsticks?"

"Probably at Wal-Mart. That's where she bought them for her other books."

This is another reason I don't shop at walmart..coultergeist gets her brooms there.
