Mike and The Mad Dog: Has Giuliani announced that he is running for Prez?
Edited on Mon Jun-12-06 03:29 PM by LeftNYC
He's on Mike and the Mad Dog (sports show in NY). He's claiming that he and McCain are close in the GOP primary polls.

He's kissing Bush's ass a bit, but not leaving his lip imprint.

The conversation is making me sick because Francessa(one of the hosts for those outside NYC) is a big time Republican(gave $1000 to the RNC in 04).

All I wanted to hear about was how great the Mets are playing. And I get this phony.

1. no he hasn't but then neither has McCain or anybody else
none will announce until after the '06 election. But I'm sure Rudy is looking at it.

5. no mention of the beast...just about how "good" things are going in Iraq
Edited on Mon Jun-12-06 03:39 PM by LeftNYC
Im paraphrasing: "There are a lot of good things happening in Iraq that we dont really hear about"

Edit: Rudy said the country was doing well in all but a "few places". Go back to the golf course, Rudy.

4. For our New Yorkers reading, he's talking about "Fatso & Fruit Loops"
They might not know who this "Mike and the Mad Dog" you that speak of are, otherwise.

Anyway, who needs to hear how great the Mets are playing? It's enough to tune into the games and absorb the incredibly unfamiliar sensation of an Entire Team that most assuredly does not Suck. For a change.

I know I'm lovin' it.

7. I know how much these two trash the Mets and suck up the Yankees
so with the Yanks getting swept and the Mets sweeping, I like to revel in it. Then Giuliani came on..Puke...

11. he's got a lot of baggage. catholic and married 3 times. but
i think McCain is nuts. he's got a bad temper. referred to the vietnamese as "gooks" and i heard that one time at a meeting he got so angry that he passed out. imagine this guy with his finger near the button.

14. Rudy would find religion. He'd go anti-choice in a heartbeat
Hatin' queers might take as long as six months.

That said, I suppose I'd be a little less disgusted if the Goopers nominated him instead of McCain, but face facts, we all know it'll be either some doughy pantload like Frist or, if they're really in trouble, a wildcard like Condi.

But the money's on a Frist or reasonable facsimilie.

13. Last heard he was buying the Cubs (or shares in) per Daily News
which ran a large banner: "Say it ain't so".
Nope, no denouncing Coulter, but I had to wonder about his sudden ability to but baseball teams and his dubious chairmanship of 911 charities. (used to plead poverty right before 911 - in his highly publicized divorce - NY Post had a cartoon on him on page one - naked, covering himself with a barrel)
