Has Leopold completely changed his story?

Because in the first weeks after his false report that Rove had been indicted, he speculated that Sealed vs. Sealed was actually Fitzgerald vs. Gonzalez, and he speculated that Bush, through Gonzalez, tried to simply order him not to indict Rove, or tried to fire him, a'la Nixon's "Saturday night massacre." The speculation was that Fitzgerald was fighting an illegal order from above.

But now its an indictment. Completely different.

Is my memory faulty?

What would you call the report that Rove was indicted? Inaccurate? Incorrect? Wrong? I am trying to figure out where I went wrong in calling it false.

27. Not The Way I Read It

My interpretation of today's story is that it's an explanation of how his solid sources could be right but the indictment isn't handed down yet and that KKKarl is still in the White House and out plotting the destruction of our democracy through his fundraisers.

To me, the only question now is how much longer this will take. Based on his past successes at stalling the people, my guess is that he will do everything in his power to string Fitz along until late October so that he can exercise the most power for the mid-term elections. I doubt that Fitz is naïve enough to take that bait but every passing day makes it more and more difficult to be patient.

17. It's pretty clear that certain aspects of the report were false

...like the initial claim that Rove would be publicly indicted within 24 hours. Subsequently, after 24 hours had passed, Leopold claimed that "24 hours" really meant 24 business hours, i.e. 3 days. Subsequently, after 3 days had elapsed - it was pretty clear that at, at a minimum, either the timeline of the purported public indictment was false; or the indictment was sealed, as opposed to open as originally reported by Leopold.

Leopold is not the one proposing that sealed vs. sealed was Gonzales vs. Fitzgerald. That was Wayne Madsen. To my my knowledge this is the first Leopold has commented on sealed vs. sealed.

But on the upside, he did say what many "wanted" to hear. So I guess a few weeks gossip on what "might be" was good to lift the hopes and expectations of a few.
