125000 barrel gas tank on fire nearby
was hit by lightning. It's a few miles south of Tulsa...lots of black smoke.

1. I'm in a high rise in downtown Tulsa, and I can see a black cloud
rising to the south. This is in spite of all the clouds anyway! Must be a huge fire.

2. It's getting worse...the side of the tank just ruptured & gasoline is
pouring out & burning. Sure hope it doesn't breach the dike & get to other tanks!

8. Any update on the fire?
More rain moved through downtown, and the clouds are so thick I can't see the black cloud any longer. Did the rain help put the fire out?

9. It's still burning at 2:08 pm but didn't spread so looks like under contro
probably no other tanks are in danger... Rain wouldn't have done much anyway. Sure wish we could get some over here at Ft. G. lake, it's bad dry lately. :-(

4. Yeah, a lot of houses nearby. No evacuation as of yet but they might
order it. Just watching all the live TV coverage (We're 20 miles away so no danger here but can see the huge mushroom cloud of black smoke)

Shouldn't have thrown that notice away. That's got to be one big tank, not sure i've ever seen one that size.
