If I make the statement that I'm glad they got Zarqawi and killed him, then I've fallen directly into the neo con trap. If I believe their bullshit for even one second, then they've fooled me again.

His death is certainly no cause for celebration as thousands have already pointed out, but his importance and danger were hyper exaggerated for 3 years straight. He was accused of being a ruthless beheader, a mad bomber, a jihadist, etc, they mentioned him twice a month and then they said they got him. It's like he never even existed.

Am I praising Zarqawi? Hell no. Should I crow and do the victory dance and yell "Yay team"!? Hell no.

If anything I'm sad. All these folks who jump and yell in celebratory tones have fallen for the trick again.

1. Seems to me you are already falling into the neo-con trap.
You have 3 different threads in 1 hour all on Zarqawi, Zarqawi, Zarqawi. How about spending your time on something useful rather than on some terrorist who is finally dead (Zarqawi).

4. Hey, the man is in the news right now, what can I say?
I'm sure the republicans are yapping about him as well, and in a few days we'll move on o.k?

5. Yep, we know exactly how you
feel. You seem to have an inflated sense of the importance of your opinion on this matter. What is this the 10th post you've written on the subject over the last 24 hours. Your obsession with hourly posts on the matter is rather amusing. Look, I hate to break this to you, but it really doesn't matter if you're glad or not, anymore than it matters if I am. It's really not the monumental occurance you're making it out to be. It won't make any difference in the trajectory of this awful war. He was a nasty little piece of work, but the civil war there isn't going to come to a screeching halt. Today there will be violent deaths, bombings, kidnappings. Same as yesterday, or the day before, or the day before that.......

7. Well, I tend to agree
I don't mind that he's dead, nor do I get a real pleasure from it. I am uninformed (or misinformed) by our administration and our media, so I cannot assess his death all that well.

8. oh for crying out loud, it has come; an event that tests the sands of time
themselves grain by grain, each tiny little grain itself. Zarqawi killed thousands of shitte in his reign of ignorant, faithless, criminal based terror...thouands, he continued to torment those people throughout and on a daily basis, up to & including recently = he enjoyed being a thug & a murderer & a killer of innocent children that couldn't even clear the breach of his own weapon. but he could saw your head off with a serrated knife if given the option.

here's your test: do you feel sorry for the death of hitler because the eastern block forces got there first? or do you simply understand what a relief, partial though it may be in relation to the sorrows of the world in sum total, that Zarqawi is dead?

you, yourself, have fallen for the ruse. the neocons have immobilized you imo, and intractably so. they have you scared shitless and bugging for every insect that scurries cross the floor in the night. unable to discern whatever import from either side for fear of handing them undo credit. while in that breach, standing in that frozen moment in time THEY WILL TAKE ALL THE CREDIT!!!

have i just "crow(ed) and do(ne) the victory dance and yell(ed) "Yay team"!?"?

to utilize your frozen cry from within a frozen moment in time, "Hell no..."

dems have & are fighting, dying, and suffering in this war. our blood is spilled on foreign shores as well. and not just this one. my daddy was a life long dem having flown missions over germany in ww2. i want it all to end, every bit of it.

god grant me the grace to understand the difference between two divergent pathways in the same rose garden.
