4. well....I LOVES me the Jiminy Glick.
I taped all the episodes I could find when they were running it at Comedy Central.

matter of fact, I may have to check blockbuster to see if they're renting the movie, which got horrid reviews. who cares?

I liked "It's Pat!"

9. Madsen on AAR is fine - just not fine here at the DU
Btw, Short was great. He often gets on my nerves and then he hits my funny bone. I loved the interview.

Galloway told him to crawl back under his rock.

wonder who's got the goods?

my money's on Palast

here's a Galloway podcast, but it's not coming up so far. can you try it?

17. I have to agree
I loved watching Galloway hand out some red ass when he appeared before the committee. But if I had to choose right now, I'd say that Palast has creds to take to the bank.

18. that's what they were saying on the radio today:
they cringe whenever Galloway speaks up on the war, because of his provably (according to them) past

it is sad, though, cause he really DID nail those fffers in congress

but, then, he's got quite a bit of demagogue in him, I'm afraid

22. I'm listening to the podcast right now.
Galloway is accusing both the host and Palast of defamation, and is saying he's going to get his lawyers on this story:

Palast said "a million dollars is missing'' from one of the charities with which he's involved, and his ''WIFE took payments'' instead of sending them to emergency funds

Galloway says there's NO money missing from the Mariam (sp?) Appeal, and that no money was improperly spent, according to some Blair-begat investo.

this should be interesting tomorrow.

26. he seemed VERY confident today.
both he and the host were dissing Galloway in the part I heard (missed the beginning)

this is a 180 from his interview with Galloway to which I'm still listening

he wimped out when Galloway threatened several times to sue over this contretemps...he was talking about suing the host, as well; he went into detail that he was repeating DEFAMATORY material, and his mere repeating it, even though he wasn't making the original charge himself, could get him in trouble, too

very diffident response from the host

you should listen, if you have the time

it took about ten minutes to load, and I have cable modem

it's the very first interview, and the good part is about 1/8 of the way down the slider.

host says Palast has sent the questions he asked on the show, but that Galloway has NOT responded. Galloway, in this interview, claims not to know who Palast is.

TODAY, Palast laughed at that contention, reminding the host that he's on BBC TV

pretty interesting stuff

29. He should know who Palast is
This isn't the first I've heard of Palast going after him.

I've been listening to Laura Flanders waiting for Lt. Watada who's suppposed to be on her program today. I'll catch the Palast audio asap. Sunday's are pretty slow for radio and I can give a listen. Thanks for the head up!

19. My wife is seeing that this afternoon in Toronto...
I'm waiting for her to get home to hear how it was.

Martin Short, along with Mike Meyers and the late John Candy, are some of the most beloved Canadian comedians up here.

Cheers.

24. yes, I IS!
I won a couple DVDs on the radio, after talking to Dave Thomas. I asked him about working with Max von Sydow on Strange Brew, and if he'd ever talked to Bob Hope. he had some VERY funny stories about both

"I'd kiss you, but I have puke breath"
