Kos to be on Meet the Press Sunday.....early
Did anyone catch Kos and Jerome Armstrong (mydd.com) on Tim Russert's show on CNBC? They were discussing their book, CTG. I thought Kos expressed our beliefs and our positions the absolute BEST that I've ever heard anyone express. He was amazing...and, I'm not exaggerating. Evidently Timeh liked him, so Kos will be on Meet the Press this Sunday....definitely part of the Round Table, but maybe a solo interview as well, not sure.

Please note MTP will be on an hour early this Sunday, due to some insignicant world sporting event.

If someone has already posted this info, then pardon the hell out of me!! lol

1. PS.....evidently Maureen Dowd
has just interviewed him at Yearly Kos, according to Atrios. Goodness, Kos is getting alot of attention lately. Even if you don't particularly like him, this is terrific for our "cause/fight/struggle/whatever."

2. Kos is great about the infrastructure, but the real reason Russert wants
Edited on Fri Jun-09-06 06:25 PM by blm
him on MTP is because Kos doesn't believe in machine fraud. This way Russert can have a Dem face shoot down machine fraud publicly.

I like what Kos has to say about the Dem infrastructure being the biggest problem for Dems, but that also includes Dems on election boards overseeing these machines.

I also don't agree with Kos that Warner is the man for 2008. If Dems strengthen their infrastructure, and that includes securing the voting machines BEFORE the election, we can get an honest progressive in office who will REALLY open the books on BushInc.

4. Proceed with caution. A Dem radio or blog person is quite likely to
be used and played with. If the pairing is balanced and no one talks over and no one sits there and smirks at our spokesperson, then we're lucky because many of these representatives might present our causes better than some elected officials. But, Dobbs did not do right by Randi. Dem radio pundits and bloggers may be treated like a novelty. It will be easy to get a sense of respect shown ... or not. Let's expect respect.

6. From what I saw of Kos on the Timeh show
he can hold his own, and then some. I think the exposure for "our side" is terrific. The others may try to treat him as a "kid," but he expresses himself so well, they don't stand a chance in an argument/discussion. He's so logical! Who knew?

7. Take a look at what Fox News (Gibson) says about YearlyKos
http://mediamatters.org/items/200606090013

On the June 8 edition of Fox News' The Big Story, host John Gibson suggested that attendees at the "big convention" for the "far-left-wing Daily Kos" weblog -- at which he noted Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean and Sens. Harry Reid (D-NV) and John Kerry (D-MA) were scheduled to speak -- were "demoralized" by the death of Al Qaeda leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. Republican strategist Ed Rollins agreed, adding: "Well, they'll claim it's a conspiracy theory. That we knew their meeting was going on and that's why we did it ." Gibson replied: "Well, they are claiming that. They are claiming at this moment that they were saving Zarqawi to kill at an important moment."

As Media Matters For America has noted, MSNBC host Don Imus and CNN political analyst Bill Bennett have also suggested that liberals were saddened by Zarqawi's death.

8. Why would we be pleased - they killed him - no one can interview him
Edited on Fri Jun-09-06 10:37 PM by higher class
or cross-examine him. The Republicans took care of him - better dead than read - so they say.

Republicans don't like trials by judge or jury. They are working hard on changing the Constitution. They are setting up courts on cable tv shows. Soon they will announce that they want to save money and will switch trials to tv with Dan Abrams coordinating judgments and decisions by call-ins and assistance given by shrill and screeching tv lawyers - like the ones on his panels. They will 'rendition' all those prisoners back from Diego Garcia and Roumania for tv trials. Never mind that hardly anyone in this country except naturalized immigrants and visa holders can speak Arabic or Farsi or related languages spoken by the prisoners.
