The democrats in California have been tucking their tail between their legs ever since Schwarzenegger took control, er, seized control. Even after defeating Gov. Girly Man's ludicrous special election, the democrats have not really seized the opportunity--where are the democrats arguing for higher taxes on the California aristocrats of Westside LA, Palo Alto, SF, etc.? Or pushing for property reforms, employment rights, education, controlling the absurdities of real estate speculation, "gentrification"? The CA democrats are now pretty much a party of image and flash--both GOPS and Dems vying for has the most elegant suit or dress. Fabian Nunez doesn't discuss say LA transportation problems, or the IT market's collapse, he makes some feeble remarks about Arnold's new loan swindle. Maybe the CA assembly should call Gray Davis.
