A uS code entitles every voting citizen to bring to justice anyone who intimidates voters or voting groups.
There are penalties for intimidating voters. See Section 245, Chapter 18 of the US Code which stipulates that anyone who injures, intimidates or interferes with any other citizen(s) in their undertaking their right to vote, shall be fined under this section of law, or imprisoned for A YEAR, or BOTH. (This section also reserves the same privileges for those intimidating those "participating lawfully in speech or peaceful assembly.") So while at your polling place, look around. Is the Chief precinct Officer wandering around, talking about how much he dislikes a person or issue on the ballot? (It happens here in Marin, it could be happening where you are. Get a clip board and take down the names of those who you think are violating the US CODE. Tomorrow, call your local District Attorney. They will probably give you the run around and say that to report violations you need to call the FBI. If you can't get the name, but only a description, checking the description out with your local activists might give you a name or two. Then file a Freedom of Information act request. e There is no form for this: you just take a sheet of paper and state who you are and what you want to know. In Marin, such an affair costs about $3.45
