Debunking Rs claim that most Americans want marriage amendment.
I keep hearing senator after senator make this claim. They base this on these measures in states re: marriage. Has anyone looked at numbers of voter vs. numbers of eligible voters in those votes. Or whether the opinion polls they refer to were weighted heavily to the conservative side, as they are wont to do. I don't believe the claim they are making is true, especially since voter apathy is such problem. Any claim they make just reflects those who decided to get their butts to the polls, where Rs engaged in election fraud anyway.

1. Not only that, but...
far more people support marriage laws than a marriage constitutional amendment, which belies the basis for their claims

2. Let us accept for one moment their claim is true
That the majority of Americans think the constitution should be amended to take constitutional liberties away from a group of citizens. And that would be a reason for a United States Senator to make an ass of himself on the floor of that hallowed institution? No doubt a majority of senator cornyn's constituents would like to bring back slavery. So are we gonna do it? No doubt judge moore will get a ton of votes in Alabama today. There is gross ignorance rampant in America today. Thank gawd liberals remain vigilant in our attempts to protect the constitution.
