If you are a law abiding, tax paying citizen then you should share in the liberties bestowed upon us by the constitution. get the government out of it. The conservatives are against is not just from homophobia, but because they associate marriage with religion. Remember that there are no gay priests. :sarcasm:

Several states already have some sort of domestic partnership/civil union laws. But you can always get your lawyer to arrange for legal rights for your "roommate". You don't need recognition from the government to be married. There are some straight couples in this situation too.

But I was proud to stand up for y'all yesterday by casting a NO vote on the banning of same sex marriages in Alabama.

My family and I voted so that discrimination would not be added to our state's constitution, but the brilliance that is AL voters passed it, 80-20%. Sorry. I did my part...
