Ted Baxter question on Malmedy
I don't know this, but I suppose someone here does. When is General Clarks next appearance on Billo's show? And shouldn't he ask for loofah face's apology for the condemnation he made of American troops in WWII?

1. Did General Clark correct him in the original appearance? I have never
seen anything that indicated that the General objected to the characterization. Hell, I'm not even a general, but I know about Malmedy. Doesn't Clark know enough military history to challenge him, right then and there? It's in the movie, Battle of the Bulge, if he had been paying attention.

2. they never show him correcting him
They only show the blowhole spewing, if he did correct him I'm sure someone would have picked it up, but I'm not sure. Anyways, if he was corrected by Clark I sure would like to hear his response...anyone know?

7. He didn't correct him on air. But, remember
Bill-0 isn't totally live. He's edited. So, it's possible Clark did respond. Although if he did, it seems O'Reilly would have had enough sense to edit out the false Malmedy claim.
But, then, Bill-O called out a fatwa against a newspaper publisher, showing his photo and phone number, when the guy in question had been dead -- for years. So, I'm not confident that his show gets much quality control.
You'd think the guy would have a staff who could use google and do a fact check occasionally.
Guess it's the no-fact zone.

3. Clark certainly knows about Malmedy. He's also a paid Fox analyst.
And there's probably something in his contract about not telling the Fox host he's a damned liar.

Clark hired as Fox analyst: http://www.tvweek.com/news.cms?newsId=8010

4. The program is repeated later in the day. There is something known as

editing. After the original run, don't you think that General Clark would have approached the blowhard for the purpose of correcting him? And the blowhard would have stopped whatever he was doing and asked that it be edited? I don't think that it happened, so I am assuming that General Clark either didn't know about Malmedy, or he didn't think it was important enough to defend the honor of the U. S. military against such a blatant charge. If I was General Clark, after tearing blowhard a new one, I would have insisted that he correct it, or I would resign right on the spot. It shouldn't be the case that General Clark needs the money, and I think that he could get a similar job with another network.

9. That's the second time Billdo pulled the Malmedy stunt with Clark: he
did it last year also.

I rather doubt Clark, a West Point graduate and former West Point instructor was completely unaware of the Malmedy incident even the first time Billdo made his allegation last year. And certainly not when Billdo did it again just recently.

5. Clark did call him on it, but he was neither rude nor loud about it,
so 1) It wouldn't have made an impression on Bill-O, and 2) they cut off his response because not yelling and being rude doesn't make for good teevee.

Nobody, but NOBODY, backs up the troops past, present and looking toward the future, than General Clark.

Not being of a military background myself, sometimes it seems like he backs them up incessantly.

I admire him for his esprit de corps and for his loyalty, but inasmuch as war brutalizes everybody in it, on both sides, I sometimes think there are more marginal cases than we realize.

6. O'Reilly talked over him, according to the transcript
I think he was in the process of correcting him and Billyboy changed the subject.

8. So it's back to the original question
When is Clark on again, and will Malmedy be brought up?

10. Perhaps Fox News could answer your questions.
I doubt that anyone here can know that.
