As usual, DU, like a do-nothing congress, remains focused on inane issues they can do nothing about, instead of discussing topics we can impact. Get out and vote!

2. I voted early this morning in Mississippi
Democrats are choosing a candidate to run against trent lott and although my congressman (Gene Taylor) has no primary opposition I cast my vote for him and hope everyone else does too (as oppposed to a write in.)

I'll stop voting when they pry the ballot out of my cold dead hands.

MISSISSIPPIANS, GET THEE TO THE POLLING PLACE!

5. thanks for the heads up and, as many already know, I will
i mean isn't a heads up on voting in primaries important enough to mention at least once in this DU sea of religion. who does the religious OPs motivate? how will they vote?

17. Well, as a gay man, gay marriage is important to me.
My congresswoman can actually care about multiple issues.

7. this op isn't directed personally at anyone but elections deserve...
a little mention, in case someone focused on 666 forgets what day it really is, right? this is the ONLY election day thread on page 1 at DU today.

8. I see
Well problem is these are not national elections (even if they are) so folks are kind of having fun with it.

Relax man, I think we can say our fellow DU'ers ARE responsible citizens, for the most part.

14. Voted today *m*
Against an amendment that would, basically, have banned gay marriage here.

Imagine that, in the South.
