If we ignore Ann Coulter, will she go away?
Of course, this post doesnt help. But really, if we just leave her alone to make stupid statements.

After Ann's comments about 9/11 widows-some of who I know & I know some people who died in the WTC-I really can say that I hope Ann loses someone close to her or well I wont go there.

1. Someone close to her?
It seems unlikely there is such a person.

But I agree. Ignore the harridan -- her "fame" is already tatty around the edges. Before too long she'll fade to a thin, shrill note and blink out.

However, if you should pass her on the street, I don't think anyone respectable would object if you spat on her.

8. They would if she happened to be on fire,
but no, nobody would object. An acquaintance happened to see her in a supermarket and lambasted her in public and drew no objections, not even from the store manager (and you know those boys want a nice, quiet shopping experience).

Her looks are going. When they're gone, she'll be gone too.

23. HarridAnn
She is a harridan. Perfect description. From now on I will refer to her as HarridAnn.

I hope for her sake that the vile persona we see on TV is the result of too many drugs because if she is really just that nasty it's a sad way to view the world.

3. Ann Coulter is like mold. No one is happy to see her, once she
gets an opening, she moves in and starts growing. She ruins everything she comes in contact with.

A little squirt of bleach, though, and it's gone.

Ann's moment of fame is about to pass. History will remember her as a nobody, a political joke, a shrill whore for the Republicans. She's almost out of the light now, I hear sales for her new book are underwhelming.

Bye bye, Ann. Don't let the door hit you on your furry butt!

24. Saw her on NBC's "Today" show this a.m. -- she exuded
the same death vibes I've associated with Rumsferatu and his ilk. I had never seen her before, not having cable, but boy did she make a nasty first impression on my wife and me.

4. We Already Ignored Her
and now look at where she is. People like her weren't even allowed in the mainstream media because of their hate speech and intentional twisting of facts. Nobody calls her out on it, so she stays in the mainstream. To you and I, she has no credibility, but is still allowed to vomit her spite on every American. Somebody needs to publicly confront her and then destroy her credibility, so that the mainstream won't dare show her face again.

5. No she is set for life
Her work as one of the "elves" in Scaiffe's Arkansas Project has established her for all time in the RW noise machinery. She will have her drunken cocktail napkin scribblings published and bulkbought for as long as her liver holds up. Actually I think she gets three free livers it's some sort of group rate they have from their friends at the HMO's.

No.

These kinds of things must be challenged head on, aggressively until they are gone for good.

18. Matt did get her stuttering a couple of times
Katie would have done better, since Ann has made such nasty comments about her in the past.

I think if the general public really knows the things she says, the only place she'll be welcome is "Hannity and Colmes".

Her comments about the 9-11 widows and about "Godless Liberals" are to an extreme way beyond Michelle Malkin and Laura Ingram.

26. This morning, she linked 9/11 widows, Cindy Sheehan and
Joseph Wilson under this notion of "infallibility." It was hard to understand the point she was trying to make, but I think she was trying to say that their grief\victim status renders them beyond criticism.

This is belied by the fact that Cindy Sheehan and Joseph Wilson have both at different times been the victims of severe smear campaigns by the right wing. Host of "Today" did not mention that little fact to refute her claims.

That in and of itself could lead to her going away to prison. We can only hope.

Ann long ago reached the point where one doesn't actually need to listen to her anymore. You could simply count on it being vile, exaggerated, just plain wrong, and a better description of her audience than her targets.

22. If you ignore SYPHILIS, does it go away? There's your answer.
She's an virus on the body that is America. Eating away, slowly but surely.

A good dose of Pasteur's cure would help.

Can't ignore it, though.

27. I admit having a spate of guilty laughter
when listening to Keith Olbermann on Dan Patrick's ESPN radio show today. Even Dan wanted to know what is up with Ann that she can dis 9/11 widows and accuse them of enjoying themselves. Keith called her "just an evil, bad person" and added "And I think she used to be a man."
