Two Polls On Marriage Amendment To DU
http://www.thehometownchannel.com/family/9318935/detail.html

On the right hand part of the center frame- two separate surveys

Should the U.S. Constitution be amended to define marriage as only occuring between a man and a woman?

How important is an amendment to the U.S. Constitution defining marriage?

Reddest part of the State Of Arkansas!

Thanks

7. Frist---umm.. I wonder if the man knows what humankind is?
Senate Debate Ready

Senate Republican Leader Bill Frist said marriage between one man and one woman is better for protecting children "than any other institution humankind has devised."

Monday's Senate debate on the bill includes opposition by moderate Republicans like Sen. Arlen Specter. Specter, as head of the Judiciary Committee, allowed it to move to floor debate to give colleagues an election-year platform.

Democrat Sen. Ted Kennedy called the measure "bigotry, pure and simple." Democrats' opposition, coupled with resistance from GOP moderates, makes the debate a virtual exercise in futility.

The amendment would have to pass the Senate and the House with a two-thirds vote, then be ratified by at least 38 state legislatures.

11. Kinda depressing........
I hate saying this; but with all the scapegoating/playing politics going on regarding discrimination based on sexual orientation, I really feel sub-human right now. I don't really even feel like I am an American citizen........
