The blatant exploitation of homophobia by the miserable excuse for a President was seen through by the entire nation. And low and behold, there it was on TV for all to see, everywhere you tuned (well, not fox of course) the message was the same - what in hell are we wasting the nation's precious time over this for when their are vital matters overtaking us?

It was not like this yesterday, but it will be moreso tomorrow.

Likewise, in Vietnam, a ragtag bunch of guerillas played hell with a modern army equipped with bombers, tanks, helicopters, and armored cavalry. They did it by digging tunnels, setting little pitfalls lined with shit-dipped bamboo splinters, etc. We just have to be equally creative when we confront the Big Guys now.

I watched Lou Dobbs this evening and between Joe Trippi, that Republican guy (I've spaced out his name), and Lou ... there was palpable disdain for the political stunt Bush pulled today on gay marriage. There was a tone of derisiveness that was far deeper than I have ever previously heard from the corporate media pundit-types.

I also think the story this morning about the rule prohibiting humiliating and abusive treatment of prisoners being taken out of the military's conduct manual may have contrtibuted to the change in tone. These SOBs in the White House are just shaming this country in such a way that even the kool-ade drinkers are being forced to notice.

the articles passed in the Geneva Convention regarding the treatment of prisoners of war.
