BS! Just listen to this excerpt of a report CNN:
"If you want to interpret extraordinarily strictly then maybe you could say that techniques like -- I guess the supposition is you aren't man enough to build that bomb. Kind of work on his anger and getting him to admit something and then using that to put him in a position to get information about future bombings. Maybe a lawyer could say that is humiliation."

That is NOT what the Geneva Conventions talk about! The things we saw at Abu Graib are humiliating and degrading treatment. Don't let yourselves be fooled, they want to be able to legalize the Abu Graib-type humiliation by removing it from the manual. I just cannot believe this.

2. I yelled at the radio today about this
Let's see if I can get it right. Questioning an Iraqi about his "manhood" is embarassing, so you can't say things like "you are not a man". Well, there you go, that would limit the military too much so better say it is ok to make them masturbate with women's panties on their heads and get jumped on, beaten up, stomped on and terrorized with dogs while taking pictures because othewise it would be too limiting.

I yelled at the radio.

Wasn't this the pentagon that was putting out new booklette/guidelines? I have vague memory of some words that congress could/was talking about telling them no, but can't remember.
