"No Sex Slavery" clause for Iraq contractors.
http://mrvetinari.livejournal.com/38935.html#cutid1

Every contract on at least one of the Uber-Bases, since April 2006, has a "No Sex Slavery" section. This is actually required (Maybe as a late reponse to DynCorp abuses in other theatres, or more likely because of a different scandal that never hit the press). And it is not just a 'Dude, I totally promise I won't buy a sex slave while I am here' but more than a page devoted to combating all the various loopholes by which one could acquire a sex slave under contract.

<SNIP>

...I think by these standards, about half of all marriages, and nearly all high-maintenance girlfriends are acts of prostitution/sex-slavery.

I'm not sure what to make of this. Is such a detailed contract a sign that sex slavery is a problem on US bases?

Follow the link at the top of this page for the full text of the contract.

1. Thats been SOP in every american army base america has ever had outside
the US. Who can forget what happened in the Philipeans when america closed its bases. This has been tried and failed many times, american service men seen to have troubles keeping zippers closed when around non american civilians. This is along the same lines as what was tried in Japan after 1945.

3. Going to prostitutes was a lot safer than
screwing some army wives. One spread syphilis around the base. The clap was the worst you could expect downtown. We did have one sergeant that was pimping for his wife. Cheap too- $20 per trick.

2. Prostitution outside the gates dates back to ancient Rome
It affects every country, every army known since ancient Roman armies trampled across Europe. In short it is a "Supply Side" problem
