Operation "Jump Start my Sagging Poll Number"? (NAT Guard)

Some things you just can't make up. You know how we give military operations little catchy names like Operation Overlord, Deny Flight, Iron Fist, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom?

Well, either this comes straight from the Onion, or someone at the National Guard is "tweeking" the C-in-C. They named the border operation "Jump Start".

It's almost like the * mis-administration is in it's "last throes", and they've brought out the paddles and are yelling; "Clear!"

That was my first thought when I saw the name of this Operation. "Jump Start my Poll Numbers"

Officials with the Texas National Guard, who have dubbed the mission Operation Jump Start, said advance leaders and planners were expected to head for the border region starting in the next couple of weeks.

President Bush announced May 15 that he would send as many as 6,000 National Guard members to help Border Patrol officers along the U.S.-Mexico boundary. About 200 National Guard soldiers were expected to arrive this week in Texas to begin planning support with Border Patrol officials.

2. They're pulling out all the stops

All they have left is "fear and smear". I've never seen a political party that is so afraid. The Repukes are behaving like firghtened little children, lashing out in every direction to find something that can charge up the fear in Americans.

We used to call this Spaghetti Day when I was on recruting duty. The last day of the month, the recruiters would throw everything on the wall, in the hopes that some would stick.

That's all this border stuff and Gay marriage is. It's the Republicans slinging spagheti against the wall in the hopes that some will stick.

3. Distract, distract, distract, you've nailed it

Major major problems that need to be addressed and the pukes are flinging pasta at the walls. I saw the news yesterday, the talking heads were all saying this is just redmeat for the reptilian base.
