Colbert wasn't funny either. :sarcasm:

But, both Colbert's "roast" and An Inconvenient Truth are important. They speak truth to power.

And that's all that matters.

I saw it in Highland Park, IL. The theater added shows and the earlier shows were filled. Everybody sat in rapt attention. I took my mother and my 12 year old daughter. I wish Gore had connected the dots a little more so that my 12 year old could understand some of the issues better--there were a lot of charts and graphs a few of which even I could not follow. But overall, by the end, I was moved to tears.

Al Gore is a great man, a man of integrity and honesty.

God Bless him for choosing to take up this important cause.

2. I thought it was gripping. I want my grandkids to see it.
And this film will probably help Gore get re-elected.

4. The more important result would be to set up pollution controls
and alternative energy sources. That is what Gore wants right now, it is what we all should want right now. No way was Gore thinking about personal politics when he went through all the effort required to make this film.

5. Well, if you didn't think Colbert was funny, then I will probably enjoy
Inconvenient Truth.

I though Colbert was brilliantly funny and I think I'll take the 50 brazillion reviews and articles about standing ovations around the world as an indication I'll probably enjoy the film.

But I'll let you know after June 16th when it finally lands here.
