How do Republicans feel about the Bush immigration plan?
How do your Republican friends/co-workers/family members/etc. feel about the Bush immigration plan? Do they think it's a good idea or a bad idea? The reason I ask is because I sense much of the recent deterioration of the Bush poll numbers is coming from Republicans, in part because of the immigration issue.

1. They feel they have been betrayed by him.
Nobody at my office defends him any more. There is a single voice of opposition against him, his policies, even overtly questioning his intelligence & competence on every issue. It's irreversible. His presidency, for all intents & purposes, is over.

2. Who cares what the scum think?
Seriously....I don't worry about what America's domestic enemy has to think on any issue...they are irrelevant.

4. Well, you should care, if you want Baby Bush' ratings to go below 30%
Because those are the only people left still saying that they approve.

I hear people on this board bitching all the time at the latest polls to come out: "Why do 32% of people still support him?", or "31! That's still to high for me". If you want to get those numbers down even lower then I suggest paying attention to what the conservatives are saying about Bush.

I'm loving every minute of this immigration fight. It's ripping the Republican Party asunder. Therefore, we should be provoking this battle, no matter how divisive it is for the country, to rip their party apart.

3. They are paying attention to almost nothing else but the amnesty issue
Their discontent on that one issue alone bleeds into everything else which is being done. All these wedge issue the GOP has been bring up doesn't get their attention.

Amnesty.

That's the whole ball of wax for them.
