Bet on that. Bush will have to invade and occupy Iran with all their weapons intact. And Iran has been paying close attention to see what worked for us in Iraq and what didn't work. This is going to be very bloody.

Bush will need a draft real soon.

The US has gotten into the habit of only attacking countries largely incapable of defending themselves over the last 30 years. That whole BS about 'Gulf War I' is hogwash. That was never a 'war', it was a turkey shoot, one in a series. The same goes for our little trysts down in Latin America, and currently with Iraq and Afghanistan.

If we're stupid enough to invade yet another sovereign nation, I think we're going to re-discover what it is to be involved with a country capable of defending itself.

It will be very hard to spin the 'good news' from Iran.

I really can't believe that we're actually discussing this.

2. Agreed. US to Iran: "Pull my finger, and then we'll talk."
The president of Iran may have dubious sanity, but he's not stupid,

4. Interesting.
I thought it was significant that two nights ago on Hardball, Chris Matthews said that he is concerned that one day soon, we will wake up to the news that Bush ordered attacks on Iran. He and his guest made clear that a military confrontation will become a regional conflict with severe consequences for the world.

5. Gosh, I sure never saw THAT coming.
That's probably just how it will go, at 3 a.m. central time, and we'll all awaken to the grim announcement that ww3 has begun in earnest.
