What the HELL is * doing?
DHS security cuts New York anti-terror funds by 40%!!Congressman Peter King (R) was on Chris Matthews. He is fumming. Is he making war on his own party OR IS HE MAKING WAR ON CONGRESS? I think he keeps sending them a message that Congress is irrelavent and the White hOuse will do what ever they damn well pleases.. HOW can any one justify a cut to NY(& DC)will all the potential targets?

13. I don't know if more money is going to Nebraska or not, but its not our
damn cornfields that need protecting. It's Offutt AFB, where bush** ran to hid on 9/11. It's always made us a No. 1 priority target, especially during the cold war.

When I was young were used to practice hiding under our desks with our heads tucked as far down between our legs as we could get. It was called the old 'kiss your ass goodbye' plan.

5. That's the point
If he is pandering all his wealthy buddies live and work on the rock. After katrina it would be devastating to the economy if we had another attack in NYC. What the hell would any one attack in Omaha, NE or Jacksonville, FL?

15. Why would anyone attack Omaha or Jacksonville?
Maybe looking for a "softer" target with a large enough population to shock Americans. I agree NYC or Los Angeles or Dallas would probably be high on the list, but I don't think you should consider them the only target.

8. hah!
If you and I were in that top 1% we'd be just close enough to see exactly how snubbed we'd be by the top 1% of the top 1%, those who actually have real power in Bushistan. Mind you, we'd be so incredibly comfortable, we wouldn't care that we didn't have any real power, and we'd certainly be able to lord it over the other 99% of the unwashed masses, but we would know it.

Eat the rich!

10. Yes, but
as with its debunking of the "White House trashing" non-scandal, and its assessment of the shenanigans in Ohio during Election 2004, if the GAO makes a noise in the bureaucratic jungle but there is no "liberal media" to record the sound, then was a sound actually made?

9. Justification is in the Eye if the Jackals!
Maybe they need another "convenient" terrorist event to occur, so they can declare martial law and suspend elections. After, the latest Rolling Stone cover, perhaps they're not convinced that fixing the outcome of the elections is going to work this time.

Our Air National Guard had to drop the ball big time, for the first time since they were established in 1947, for 9/11 to happen the way it did. It is just a coincidence that it happened during the watch of the authors of PNAC. And, of course, that it was "just what the doctor ordered (QUACK)" in order for them to pursue their imperial ambitions.

12. Big Bad Congress stands up to Bush
They've been nothing but a photo-op administration and there's no reason to believe that anything they do is more than smoke and mirros to fool the voters. They don't want to lose Congress so they're creating issues for the Congress to get tough on, that's all.

18. I was thinking last night that every move they make
is more and more outrageous. I believe they're trying to instigate a situation with the general public where we just refuse to take anymore. Then if any Kent State type incidents raise their head, they'll have a reason to declare martial law - then we're screwed. Somehow we need to legally but thoroughly kick their collective asses to hell and back over the next 2 yrs. Our country is being run by playground bullies. They're acting like a bunch of irresponsible frat boys.

25. Prep work
Like any good dictator wanna-be.

Leave potential targets unprotected, and unwatched. Have another "terrorist" attack in, oh say '08. And then reluctantly assume complete control as the seventy some odd percent of the sheeple in the American population start screaming for him to declare martial law.

Too much DHS security in the area could lead to some rather embarrassing questions.

Peter King. This fucking guy is something else. Talking about chimpys "bold new vision". King walks around, every day, with a mouth full of *. Braindead bushbot.

Ahhh, but now it's different. He gleefully overlooks Iraq, torture, spying, Katrina. Only now, when it's too late and the insanity touches him personally, does he begin to understand.
