Who can lead the fight to restore democracy in America?
If Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is correct, the Republicans have mastered the art of stealing elections. It's reasonable to believe that they have set up a national machine, a national Tamany Hall so to speak. The monster will keep getting more and more entrenched with each election. It will get more sophisticated, and more dangerous. The Democrats will not win control of either the Senate or the House, and pretty soon the monster might try to replace moderate Republicans in the primaries. If RFK, Jr. is correct, then our very democracy is in serious danger.

If this is the fight, then it's a really serious one, and the stakes are dangerously high. If this is the fight, who can lead us?

(If you haven't read it, consider reading the frightening Rolling Stone article before responding:

1. It would have to be someone with name recognition
and financial resources to protect him/herself from getting locked up in one of Halliburton's new secret detention centers forlife.

I would think that a strong coalition of leaders like Kerry, Gore, RFK Jr. and others could band together and raise the hell that needs to be raised.

3. No One Person Can Lead The Fight.
The fight has to be led by the people, always. That is the very nature of democracy. Don't look to one, look to us all.

4. Exactly! But we do need some serious help and it would be
nice to have Carter, Gore, Kerry, Clinton, etc...watching our backs.
