Giuliani: "America must remove the governments that encourage terrorism"

http://www.ourmidland.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=16722613&BRD=2289&PAG=461&dept_id=472542&rfi=6

Former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani says he has "very strong affection" for President George W. Bush even though the president's popularity ratings are falling.

His reason? "Maybe because I lived through something difficult with him," Giuliani told reporters at Saginaw's Dow Event Center Wednesday. That "something" was the World Trade Center terrorism attacks.

...

When asked how he would handle the Iraq war differently from Bush "to keep Americans happy," Giuliani said it's largely a matter of communication.

"I think that the war in Iraq has to be explained to people in the context of what we're trying to achieve," he said. "What we're trying to achieve is to end terrorism. ... We understood that really well the day after Sept. 11, 2001. Our goal can be nothing short of ending international terrorism."

Giuliani believes America must "remove the governments that encourage terrorism and replace them with accountable governments," he said. "It will require tremendous sacrifices" like those already made in Iraq and Afghanistan.

9. Sorry, but I can't shake the feeling
that many countries around the world consider US the terrorists. Who was it that said something like "Terrorism is the poor man's war and war is the rich man's terrorism"?

11. Good
I'm glad Giuliani is digging his grave for 2008. Once he was the great moderate hopeful and this helps destroy that image.

23. Rudy was never moderate.
He waged war against gay communities. He made sure republican areas had better, more reliable services than democratic areas. His idea of helping fight poverty and homelessness was to make housing more expenensive and to lock people up. His moderate image was entirely fabricated in the media, because middle class white people loved him.

12. Hey RUDY - Kerry tried to do that when he uncoverd BCCI - YOUR Bush family
did everything they could to cover up for the terrorists and their financial network that the Bushes and their cronies were part of.

So - let's start by opening the books on BCCI, shall we Rudy?

21. It follows from what he said
that he wants to remove the current government who are at the forefront of goverments who encourage , and inspire, terrorism by their very acts overseas.

24. Of course he wants forever war. He's got his 'security' company to
think of. The one that seems to be everywhere there is a terror attack.

So, he thinks all that needs to be done to get back support for the criminal war in Iraq is to re-educate the American people! Typical Giuliani. Thinks he's the smartest man in the world. He ought to be investigated to find out why he so neglected NYers during the years he was mayor from what everyone in NY knew, would happen again.

He spent eight years telling those who were concerned that the WTC might be a target again, that 'NY is the safest city in the world' and told everyone to go shopping. He is a vile human being, and I only hope the Repubs are stupid enough to make him their candidate in 2008. What happened to his side-kick, Bernie Kerrick will happen to him. He will be exposed as the fraud he is, as the 9/11 families knew he was and end this PR nonsense that he was some kind of hero on 9/11. He was not. The firemen and cops were the heroes, all he did is what he always does was to get in front of the cameras, and his next move was to see how he could personally profit from the tragedy.

He has yet to answer the questions the 9/11 have asked of him. I hope one day all of them will be forced to do that, under oath in a court of law.
