Has the FBI been politicized like the CIA has been?
The reason I'm asking is because I think the William Jefferson raid and the NSA wire tapping could possibly be linked and that it's possible the investigation on Jefferson was brought on by information learned via phone tapping.

Have there been any discussions on the forums here about this?

1. FBI Director Robert Mueller was instrumental in destroying Bill Clinton...
the very man who installed him as director.

4. That was Louis Freeh - Bush 2 installed Mueller who was the BFEE tool who
covered up BCCI as US Attorney on the case.

2. Robert Mueller has been a cover up guy for BushInc for decades.
It was Mueller as US Attorney given the BCCI case, who couldn't find any crimes to prosecute - in BCCI, fer chrissakes, the biggest scandal in American history. Kerry had to take his evidence to the NY State Attorney to be able to keep the case open and prosecutable.

Mueller was put in place at the FBI to keep the cover closed tight. Thank Clinton for being a good friend to Poppy Bush and refusing to open those books when he took office in 1993. We sure as hell wouldn't be suffering another Bush in the WH today, if those books had been opened then.

3. "Been Politicized"?
You ever hear of J. Edgar Hoover? Or that treasonous little shit Louis Freeh (who had his nose stuck so far up the Capitol Hill neo-cons butts during the Clinton years he forgot about the Law of the Land - like not destroying documents in a criminal investigation)?

6. I guess I should have said "overtly" politicized like what we're blatantly
seeing with the CIA these days. Wasn't it Goss who put the edict out that they didn't want non-Bush supporters in the ranks?

13. That's why a political hack like Goss was put in there - they purged every
agent they suspected of supporting Kerry. I'd bet anything that those phones were tapped for that reason alone.

9. Cynthia Rowley and the denial of the FISA warrant in searching Moussaoui
computer. Wasn't the attorney who denied bringing the request to FISA Court given a promotion and a monetary award?

11. FBI always has been political -- Hoover was a diva
he was more interested in getting stuff on Hollywood stars.

Then the FBI has been involved in other country's politics --

But under bush the number one focus of ALL agencies seems to be politics -- with political hacks well entrenched in all federal agencies.

12. They were 'active' in the Kennedy assassination. They did the bidding
of Mellon-Scaife and others in the Bill Clinton 'affairs'. They were active when they held Lewinsky in a hotel room until it was too late to contact her lawyer to stop a mailing which was the final step in setting up Clinton.

Are you talking about our pure and neutral FBI? No, not the FBI of the United States of America - our employees? They are pure and unbiased; they just work for the right wing, that's all.
