17. An Idea for an Animation...

This one would REALLY get the crazies to come out of the woodwork, Ava...

The idea comes from Sam Peckinpah's classic '70s WW II movie, ''Cross of Iron.''



This film portrays the horror of war from the perspective of German soldiers who are fighting a lost cause, and indifference from their commanders.

In the film's opening sequence, Peckinpah plays a soundtrack of German children singing the Reich's National Anthem, super-imposed with images of Nazi Germany's early WW II victories.

Those images are soon replaced by scenes of wounded German soldiers, which soon turn to photos of dead German soldiers.

All against the back drop of lil' kids singing their sing-song rant to the Reich.

Want to piss off the right-wing? Replace the Horst Wessel Song and Peckinpah's photo montage, with a sound clip of American kids reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, over photos of our boys slugging it out in Iraq.

Short.

Sweet.

And to the point.

Just an idea.
