Why Republicans should vote for Kinky Friedman

2. My family are hardcore Repubs and will be voting for Kinky.
They already said so (we live in the Houston area).

Except for points 6 and 7 on the list (my folks are very secular and couldn't care less about religion and church, despite their vocal support of DimSon), the rest mirror exactly their beliefs. :(

3. I actually consider that good news
My point being, of course, that no Democrat ought to be voting for this joke.

5. I know he's a joke, and accordingly will be voting for Chris Bell.
My family, however, think ol' Kinky is a wonderful candidate. They have read his latest book and think he's just great. :eyes:

7. Four, actually
Rick Perry, Carole Strayhorn, Kinky Friedman (all republicans, despite the latter two's efforts to recast themselves) and James Werner (the Libertarian, who would -- in a different cycle -- be poised to capture a healthy percentage).

8. Sadly Strayhorn seems to be mostly digging into Democratic support
But that's another reason why I think both she and Friedman will shrink to below 7% each by election day.

9. She's sucking up all the trial lawyer money

Walter Umphrey, for example, has given her hundred of thousands already (with his disclaimer that it was a stick in the eye to Perry for tort reform).

Carole won't pull as many votes from Bell as will Kinky. Kinky is a disaster in more ways than ten.
