I have been very vocal in my little neocon newspaper,and it resulted in some very nasty retorts last week.The editor loves the increased attention(and paper sales) and has been great about printing all of my letters.The latest one showed up today:(re:the spending of the DOD and bullet proof vests)

Great letter. The facts and sources were effective. I liked the first sentence, certainly a grabber. Current data. Let me guess: the people responding to your first letter constantly brought up the Clinton Administration and blamed everything Bush did wrong on him.

You already know that Bush not only fails to provide the equipment, but he's cut veteran's benefits, and combat pay. Supporting the troops? It's not yet as bad as the Battle of Stalingrad where they got a gun OR bullets.

Well written and I love the citations that will enable the reader to see you can back up all you say with the facts. Keep it up. You never know how many people will read it and at least consider that our troops are not a top priority with the Bush administration.

I didn't expect the venom these people spewed at me.Granted,I should have expected it,since in the letter prior to this one,I stated that if they supported the greed and immorality of this administration,they were guilty of it themselves.

14. Caller ID can be blocked (for free) . . . if you do get a harassing call

there's still the "Call Trace" feature on the phone . . . yes, it does cost about $5 per use, but is only billed PER USE. Contact your local phone company to activate it. You won't get the phone numbers, but, if needing to press charges due to continued harassment, then the police can subpoena the phone records. Also, keep a log of when the calls occur.

If it continues, call the police.

As a Bush-loving cop told me back in August, you have to inform the caller that they have to stop. If the caller calls again, then they're breaking the law.
