Called Feinstein's office re: Hayden Committee vote
I asked the aide about her vote in the committee. She indicated that the Senator voted to approve Hayden.

"You mean to tell me that she approved for the head of the Central Intelligence Agency the very person who helped orchestrate the illegal spying on hundreds of millions of US citizens? What was she thinking?"

Taking the question as rhetorical (which it was) the aide responded, "I'll tell her of your concerns."

I responded with, "It has become very obvious that my concerns, and those of millions of other citizens in California, are *no* concern to the Senator. Tell the Senator that."

The aide thanked me for my call. I politely thanked her for her time.

Short call, but I think I got my feelings across.

1. Thanks for voicing my sentiments too

I didn't know whether she voted for or against. Considering all her talk of having misgivings earlier, I can't believe she voted for him ... Makes me question my support for her in November.

Who voted no? I heard Feingold and Widen -- who was the third?

6. WHAT? Bayh votes no and DIFI VOTES YES?
I shake my head in astonishment. Somebody ought to call Cindy Sheehan and get her to reconsider running against DINO Feinstein.

2. This should be the last straw for Californians...
All I can think is that they have dirt on her war-profiteering husband...nothing else explains her votes.

Sorry, DiFi, that WAS the last straw.

11. Already marked my ballot for Fenald.
I'm not sure if DiFi gets my vote in November. (Don't worry, I won't vote for the Repuke.)

7. Feinstein on gay rights: "Too much, too fast, too soon."
Shame on her all around.

9. I'll be meeting Feinstein next week at a Busby event.

I think I'll just walk up to her, stick out my hand as if to shake hers, when she reaches for it, I'll yank mine back then slap her in the face. Then I'll tell her: "That's what you've been doing to your constituents with your votes."

Nah... I don't think any one there would understand that gesture. But I'd love to be able to pull that off.

10. I just emailed her and told her she just lost my vote
Edited on Tue May-23-06 04:13 PM by datadiva
that I have given her the benefit of the doubt numerous times, but today she voted to throw my privacy to the wolves and I will not be voting for her again. Sad when you can't trust people who you voted to elect. This is what happens when one runs unapposed, they begin to believe they are invincible. Well, guess what, maybe Californian's will wake up out of their slumber and vote accordingly. Wouldn't that be something!

edited for spelling
