Gnostics and DaVinci Code Fascists

Are there actually any Gnostics in the DaVinci Code at all? Are any of the characters clearly Gnostic? Are any of the groups Gnostic?

The answers may surprise you... There is no real indication that ANY of the characters in the DaVinci Code are actually Gnostic... and the Priory of Sion isn't Gnostic either.

Scandal, Secrecy, Special Knowledge..

Secrecy can give rise to suspicion. People may assume that there is wrongdoing. Excluding outsiders may lead to charges of arrogance, elitism, lack of charity, or bigotry. Reserving certain teachings for only a select few, may lead to charges of censorship or of withholding knowledge from people who are deserving.

It may be counter-argued that some things are best done in private. The term privacy may have better connotations, but abuse can happen in private. The issue is not done away with so easily. Some things are kept private so that it is easier to sidestep challenge or criticism that could be expected were certain words, deeds, evidence, or facts to come to the light of day.

It doesn't say that the DaVinci Code is fascist, it mentions that the founder of the modern Priory of Sion was a French Fascist and that the founder of Opus Dei wrote a letter of praise to Spanish Fascist dictator Franco. The irony. Priory of Sion is not Gnostic at all.
