OK, Rohrbacher and Sessions are standing up for the American worker now..
bemoaning lowered or stagnating wages, particularly for lower skilled workers. I'm just so po'd with Dems on this immigration issue. Instead of the Dems stepping up and arguing for labor in this country and arguing that NAFA & CAFTA should be repealed and trade agreements should reflect a concern for fair labor and trade practices in all nations, they're out there doing I don't know what. I know this opinion will probably prompt flames the size of solar flares, but I don't really care. I'm sick of the tone deafness of this party. Why is Ted Kennedy the point man for * on immigration policy and I'm listening to Jeff Sessions parrot a traditional Dem position on labor & wages?

1. They simply hate Mexicans more than they hate American workers
Like I said, simply!

2. It's all bogus. Ask sessions about raising the minimum wage.
And listen to the bullshit begin.

3. I have a few words for Mr. Sessions
Our economy is NOT wonderful, and it's not just the unskilled workers at the bottom of the scale that are hurting. If he had a clue he might be able to pull it off.

4. Kinda like Goebbels and Himmler standing for the Jews.
Yeah, right. They're standing up for the KKK wing of the American electorate.

5. Roherbacher is actually pretty good on some issues
He's a GOP tool in a lot of ways, and is often annoying. But he actually has taken some pretty good positions on a few issues. He's against a lot of the "free trade" globalization scam, rather thn following the corporate GOP (and Corporate Democrat) line.

Maybe it's the "broken clock" theory (always right at least two times a day) or he's more of paleoconservative than neo-con. Dunno, but ought to t least give some credit when credit is due.

6. All this grandstanding by GOP members is gonna tag the Dems as
pro-illegal immigration. It's already happening. They are managing to turn this one against the Dems. House repugs are being really successful at it.

7. Maybe someone will
point out that wages are not stagnant for CEO's and other management types. Perhaps Jeff will confess his own Party's rejection, over and over, of any increase in the minimum wage. Perhaps there will be mention of the failure of the Bush tax cuts to have any benefit for lower skilled workers, or for middle class skilled labor for that matter. Jeff could say that this administration's devotion to the "rights" and "well being" of American multinational corporations has all but killed the average person's ability to realize the "American Dream". Mr. Sessions concern about American labor is long overdue. I guess if we use taxpayer money to round up and deport all that "illegal" Mexican labor (contracts of course to Repug cronies) then, and only then, will wages rise and the Labor movement be embraced by Corporate America. If only.
