FBI Says It Has Good Lead in Hoffa Search - Not doing so good on Osama
http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=1980296

MILFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. May 19, 2006 (AP)— For 31 years, Jimmy Hoffa's disappearance has spawned endless theories about his whereabouts.

Now the FBI is investigating another as it searches a rural horse farm outside Detroit after receiving a tip agents call the best they've had since the former Teamsters boss went missing.

"This is the best lead I've seen come across in the Hoffa investigation," said Daniel Roberts, the agent in charge of the Detroit FBI field office.

Agents aren't saying exactly what they know, but they plan to spend up to two weeks trying to find out if the body of Hoffa, who was last seen in July 1975, is hidden somewhere on Hidden Dreams Farm.

1. Oh come now, be fair ....
It's taken almost 31 years to try to find Hoffa; it'll take at least that long for this administrattion to find Osama.

5. This has been the big story in Detroit for the last few days
They get leads every once in a while that usually fizzle out. There was one recently about a house in Detroit-I think the feds let the DPD handle it because it didn't come from that good of a source.

I do think he was disposed of somewhere in Michigan. Why drag a dead body all the way to Jersey to get rid of it when there are plenty of places closer by to use? I always kind of figured he was under the Jeffries freeway (1-96) or the Renaissance Center, as they were both being built when he disappeared. Or else he's hiding on a tropical island somewhere with Jim Morrison, Elvis and Tupac.

6. I keep posting that this is an annual rite of spring here ...
I think it's 696 (aka the "Reuther") which was under construction in '75, not 96.

My only problem with this is that with all the attention (and jokes) about Hoffa's whereabouts ... this man had a family that loved him ... I can only imagine the pain/ apprehension that these searches bring them.
