Jack Cafferty almost made me cry!
If anyone just missed his rant, he went off on Frist and the gay marriage amendment - he said Frist was pandering to the 'fringe' and the 'nuts' at the expense of the real business that needs to be done.

I was like, wow - how seldom a member of the media calls them on their hatred and bigotry. It made me realize just how much I, as a gay woman (and all of my gay brothers and sisters) have been under constant vicious assault by the right - not just under the current regime, I must add, but starting with the obscene Don't Ask, Don't Tell and DOMA. We've carried a load of their shit on our backs for far too long.

So, while Cafferty didn't comment on the merits of gay marriage, at least he gave 'em hell for their sick pandering to their sick followers...it's a start. And it's something we almost never hear in the MSM.

1. Old Jack can still have very good days can't he. I recall the days he
was drinking the koolaid right after 9/11, but he seemed to wake up sooner then most to his credit. He sure does a much better job then Wolf I have my beard stuck up my ass Bliz.

2. You should e-mail Jack and tell him. I bet he would appreciate it.
He probably has no idea the effect his rant had on people such as yourself.

4. I just love that grumpy old man sometimes!
Seriously, I do. One night he asked Blitzeder where one of the usual reporters were and said "she didn't take off to Fox or something stupid like that did she?"

5. He also told Blitzer that he thought Lay and Skilling
should go to prison. I was surprised that Wolfe asked him what he thought should happen to them. I'm sure he didn't think Jack would answer. Or maybe he did.

21. That's his job now. Spouting his opinion, asking and reading the
e-mails and doing his weekend show.

They found an excellent spot for him.

6. I like that they are saying this...
but it's way too late.

they were pandering to the 'fringe' when they linked Iraq and 9/11, but it didn't stop them then.
