1. To quote Teresa Kerry: "They want four more years of hell"
and that's just what they got by electing that little bastard Bu$h*. :grr:

3. One reason is
the opposition party (Dems, of which I am one of course) have retreated and denied who they are - rather act like losers. sure, some senators have spoken eloquently and bravely this week against Scalito. But real courage would be filibuster even if no chance to prevail. Why not go down in flames on this issue? All we have to lose is our consitutional rights - that's worth a fight.

4. Still heading south for the moment, I'm afraid
Let's hope and pray the nosedive levels off around next Nov. If not, well, we'll have to re-examine our options, as they say. SG

5. my country's lost on the highway
going somewhere in their big cars, driving faster than ever
hands glued to the steering wheel
passing at 80 mph

Where are we all going?

our different ways, but ending up in the same traffic jam.

I wonder if people care our democracy's in such trouble,
just that their gas doesn't get too expensive.
