1. The 9/11 hijackers were let in to the country.
And against security warnings. There was a running joke at the fbi that this maladministration was actually on Al Qaeda's side. No fence, no guards would have stopped that.

So it's not the borders we need to worry about. It's bad administrations. Borders are a diversion.

Governors can mobilize the Guard to protect state borders, but the fed cannot use troops for domestic law enforcement.

No, that's not the Guard's job 504 votes - 41%
Yes, but only in the event of an emergency 190 votes - 16%
