So I guess today's the day Leopold will reveal his sources
since he is on the record as saying that Fitz will make the announcement today.

6. I think that is Bry's sig line (that says check it out), not advice
regarding this story.

Time alone, time will tell.

8. Yes it is
Sorry for the confusion - I haven't done anything with the Leopold story, largely because I find Leopold a very dislikable character who might be right, and I don't feel I have enough information to make a judgement call (although, if I had to make a call, I'd say he's probably right, but that's more because the people at Truthout, not Leopold himself.

7. No, Will Pitt posted a clarification to the original story that Rove
was given 24 business hours to get his affairs in order. 24 hours ends today.

18. Well... We Hope.
<< 24 hours ends today.>>

... unless there are further "corrections" and "clarifications" to the story.

9. oh, is there chum in the waters already?
I'm tired of people salivating at finding out that Rove will not be indicted on such and such a day, but shouldn't we ALL want him to be indicted?
Or is proving Leopold wrong of higher import?

sheesh.

here's the deal:

Leopold could be wrong, and Rove still be indicted later
Leopold could be right, but Rove turned and therefore not be indicted even though scheduled to be.
Leopold could be quoting sources who are adamant, but incorrect.
The sources could be fooled or misinformed, or they could be intentionally misinforming Leopold.
The timetable could be off to unforeseen legal wranglings.
Rove could be indicted today (its only 9:30 am, after all).

any or all of the above could be true.

why do we insist on picking an arbitrary date and then using that as confirmation of source's veracity? Anyone ever involved in court cases knows a myraid of things can delay motions or indictments.

I question the rash (not this OP per se) of blanketed attempts to discredit truthout, even after skinner posted about it.

I'll be deliriously happy if Rove is indicted, but I'm realistic to know that even if so, it won't cure all the problems this administration has caused.

17. Leopold's become a whipping post here
I wish folks would reserve their anger for the pieces of shit what WILL be indicted... I believe Fitz will delver justice. And it will be worth the wait.

19. Yes, many are
pouncing on the 24 hours for Rove to get his affairs in order remark. What does that have to do with when Fitz makes the announcement ?

11. I`m taking a totally nonsensical approach.
Since I assume that Mr. Leopold is on our side and would not intentionally report a false story, I`m going to withhold judgement.

Nobody here knows for certain whether or not Rove will be indicted. If Mr. Leopold`s story proves false, I`ll withhold judgement until I hear his explanation.
