I don't understand why posts about religion get moved out of GD...
But I could post about some other sociological/politically-relevant phenomenon, say children's sleeping habits, and it would get to stay.

I'm just sayin'...

1. Religion is too divisive.

Why they allow politics here I'll never know!

2. Maybe because there is a forum for religion already. ?
Persomally, I became tired of the long threads about religion that came up very often.

5. There's a thread for parenting, too...
But the crap about children sleeping with their parents til age 5 is still going strong.

I just feel like us nontheists are being marginalized. Like I said, taboo. Untouchable.

Kinda sucks, if you ask me.

6. If you think a thread is in the wrong forum alert the mods.
Meanwhile - both theist and non-theist religion related posts get moved to the religion forum. I don't believe that your non-theism is being marginalized here - at least I don't feel marginalized and I most certainly am an ardent and outspoken atheist.

7. Why do atheists post in the religion/theology forum anyway?
They claim that atheism is not a religion or theology,
then they post in the religion/theology forum.
Not very rational behaviour.

Also, see the DU rules, from which I quote:

"Discussion topics relating to religion that have little or no relation to politics or current events must be posted in the Religion/Theology forum."
