Malnutrition in Iraq Has More Than Doubled Since Saddam's Reign...

<snip>Iraq Support Center in neighboring Jordan, said the number of acutely malnourished children had more than doubled, to 9 percent in 2005 from 4 percent in 2002, the last year of Saddam's rule (and this was when sanctions had already driven up the rate).

Many children in homes lacking sufficient food suffered from chronic malnutrition, the U.N. agency added.

"This can irreversibly hamper the young child's optimal mental/cognitive development, not just their physical development," Roger Wright, UNICEF's special representative for Iraq, said in its statement.<snip>

1. Too bad...
They have left the sanctity of the sacred womb, so right-wingers don't care.:sarcasm: :sarcasm: :sarcasm:
Besides, they have brown skin, so they don't count anyway.

I hate this administration.

2. Don't forget that they're Muslims as well...

They may as well be standing on a roof waving at helicopters for help.

3. I'm afraid you're right
Just knowing about the severe malnutrition should be enough to make any person of any moral integrity turn away from the Bush administration in horror. There are real, desperate crises in Africa, as well as other places, which would benefit greatly if we gave them aid in even a fraction of the amount we're using to pulverize Iraq and it's citizens.

4. This would require the the will to do so...

...which is transparently and abundantly lacking. The record speaks for itself.
