NSA Warns Whistleblower: Don't Testify Before Congress....
Ex-official warned against testifying on NSA programs
By Bill Gertz
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
January 12, 2006

The National Security Agency has warned a former intelligence officer that he should not testify to Congress about accusations of illegal activity at NSA because of the secrecy of the programs involved.
Renee Seymour, director of NSA special access programs stated in a Jan. 9 letter to Russ Tice that he should not testify about secret electronic intelligence programs because members and staff of the House and Senate intelligence committees do not have the proper security clearances for the secret intelligence.
Miss Seymour stated that Mr. Tice has "every right" to speak to Congress and that NSA has "no intent to infringe your rights."
However, she stated that the programs Mr. Tice took part in were so secret that "neither the staff nor the members of the or are cleared to receive the information covered by the special access programs, or SAPs."

These bastards were perfectly ok with leaking intell to expose a covert CIA agent.. Slaps on the wrists are still pending..

People deserve to know the truth piss on clearances.. They still haven't caught the asshole whole first leaked Plame's classified info. I'm quite sure that Libby didn't have that sort of clearance.

3. Indeed it is hypocrisy!. And pray tell why
do the House and Senate "Intelligence Committees" not have clearance? Because we have a dictatorship! If the Republicans on the Hill do not realize they will be affected also by the neverending, overreaching of the Executive Branch, there will be no need for them to even be in "power."

Yanked them!

President Bush issued an order limiting access to classified intelligence only to 8 members of Congress — the Speaker of the House, House Minority Leader, Senate Majority Leader, Senate Minority Leader, and chairmen and ranking members of the House and Senate intelligence committees.

6. They didn't like that Sibel Edmonds testified to the 9/11 commission...
and congress members and that her testimony was redacted from that report so that they all have to live with knowing what she said and keeping their mouths shut. A lot of folks there probably feel that if they don't know about wrongdoing, then they can wash their hands of it! Which is precisely why I'm campaigning for Francine Busby to be a "shaker" when it gets to dealing with this coverup that they've all been a participant in, since she could be an "outsider" coming in if she can get elected shortly for Cunningham's seat in that special election shortly.

7. Color me tinfoil but
I really believe that the Republicans intend to keep hold of the presidency forever. Maybe they are just crooked enough to pull it off.

10. No tinfoil to it. With this bunch one would be naive in the extreme..
to think they don't have a plan for permanent power.

9. I would not be surprised to hear that Tice was "accidented"
I hope Tice steers clear of jogging at night or flying on small planes. I truly fear for his life. The BFEE has proved through Danny Castagalo(sic) that they will suicide or accident those who dare to threaten their fascist plans.
