If no indictment by Wednesday, will this issue be dead?

13. Rove will go on until Fitz directly or indirectly says otherwise.

Leopold may be over if an indictment doesn't come down soon.

3. No, then we get to hear the excuse-makers for Leopold
and the people who will blame anybody other than Leopold for being wrong. But let's wait and see.

4. Yes, AND dead if there IS an indictment on wednesday.
Edited on Mon May-15-06 09:36 PM by Inland
Leopold's two day scoop doesn't make a bit of difference, except to him and his reputation. Rove is either indicted, or he isn't, and no amount of us knowing as of last Friday amounts to anything.

So expect it forgotten except with regard to Leopold's career prospects as of wednesday.

5. What issue?
There is no indictment.

The story was bogus.

But, I do love that "fiifteen hour session at the office of Rove's defense counsel" part. That was better than any fairy tale ever told.

Color it dead.

15. I know you're right more times than wrong and I respect
that.

But somehow I just have to catch a dummy on this one. IOW...if I'm gonna be a sucker I'll be a quiet one.

9. No, because it's Thursday
The end of Wednesday is just the end of the 24 biz hours. The start of Thursday is the time for the frog-marching

It seems to me that if there is no indictment by Thursday, people will think of another reason to wait. I'm way too sick of waiting.

16. That's assuming the 24 hours are LITERAL 24 hours.
The 24 hours could be figurative only.

Or the 24 hours are only during business hours. So that would be 8 hours from 9am to 5pm ET, which means 3 business days starting today and ending Wednesday. But then Thursday would be the announcement day for indictments.

10. My question--What good is outing the sources if they were allies with...
Rove in this scheme?

Then I'm just going to move on & ignore all the childish flame-fests (this assumes your premise of no indictment).

People take this crap WAY too seriously.

14. NO! The key words are "after Tuesday". That means the EARLIEST
would be Wednesday.

If you've been following, Fitz is not following any any false time schedule. He is taking his time, making sure he's right before proceeding.

By saying "after Tuesday" he's saying we won't hear anything before then. It could happen anytime after that. Wednesday, Friday, next week, next month....

Frustrating for us, I know. But he's taking his time and doing it right. It will happen. Patience, grasshopper.
