How long can they hide if the indictment is sealed?

How long can they hide if the indictment is sealed?

if the indictment is sealed, how long can they hide and keep saying "no comment about an ongoing investigation" and keep Rove at his desk in the meantime?

5. Well, who are "they" in this case? Don't you suppose Fitz would
manage to at least 'mention' it? Oh, you mean not release the -contents- of the indictment? That might be a different kettle of fish, but once it's existence is known (if and when it comes into being) I can't conceive of the court in question aiding a coverup. Interesting question though...

by "they" I mean, that the administration just keeps him on staff, and refuses to answer any questions about the "ongoing investigation".

I guess the trial would have to be public, but until the actual trial starts, it seems they could keep hiding.
