because wherever she goes she meets people who tell her what a bang-up job Bush is doing.

This is a problem with politicians in general, but much moreso with this administration who make sure anybody who gets within a mile of themselves is a supporter. I'm sure on a personal level that Laura has a problem believing her husband is so unpopular, but she must know how selective the cross-section of people she meets are towards partisans who agree with him.


And the poll is missing the third option on the fairness question: "More than fair."

The way the question is worded the media is either being mean or fair, which leaves out the vast truth, that the media has been unfairly coddling Bush. You know, the other side of the argument that would have likely gotten the most votes.

They probably just forgot.
