3) The MSM simply dismisses everything from Leopold/Truthout out of hand.

My personal vote is for 2. Imagine the pressure of this story in the WH. Imagine 20-30 WH reporters all with varying levels of closeness and "chits" on WH staff interested in getting any steam to report on. Assuming this story is true it is unlikely to stay underwraps until Monday. This would be HUGE on the Sunday talk shows.

And I also noticed the morning anchor say that this spying program was unavailable before 9/11, but I have heard from some sources that Bush gave the order pre-9/11. Anyone know for sure?
