Trauma is one piece of a much larger puzzle that includes factors from childrearing practices to the institutional arrangements of economic and political power that shape political values which legitimize violence and domination. But I believe that trauma is a critically important factor that is largely ignored from left to right on the political spectrum.

WE must find a way to stop and heal traumainstead of letting"leaders" exploit it . Heal the traumas in individuals ..Any kind of healing must begin with aknowleging the other,we must begin earning trust with stopping this domination and bully crap,in homes,in schools,in the workplace,in the state,whereever it is..than society will begin change when it is able to trust.
I agree with this writers basic premise up to the point where he fails to factor in sociopathy in his non violent ideals.Problem is with non violence is it solipsistically assimes all people are the same. We are not the same .Psychopaths are not like non violent people they acutally seek out and enjoy inflicting trauma on others,they live to start and win games,they get off on breaking trust and causing suffering,and they are emotionally less scarred by trauma than a non sociopath why? Who knows either way the personality problems and dangers to society of conduct disordered,authoritarian narcisdsistic sociopaths is real and this issue cannot be handled like you would handle people without these types of personality issues. (ironically sociopaths want power, they seek and get positions of power in organizations and the state to act out thier sickness)Psychopaths/sociopaths are a social and individual problem and they do the most of the trauma creation.. besides what the state,natural disasters and the cultural conditioned sicknesses like sexism and homophobia do already .

We need to find out what causes certain disorders in people,genetic psychological ect..that make sociopaths and destroy it,forever.
